The white-faced water fowl is a bird belonging to the Craneiformes family, Rangiferidae, with special appearance and ecological characteristics. It has a shorter beak, shorter tarsus, short rounded wings, and is not good at long distance flight. It mainly feeds on insects, small aquatic animals and plant seeds, and is good at running and sneaking in jungles and waters. During the breeding period, the males emit an intense chirping sound.
