Morphology: biennial herb. The fleshy roots are spherical or oval, oblate, spindle-shaped, and purplish red. The seeds are small, kidney-shaped and brown.
Like warm and bright, suitable for sandy loam growth, avoid acidic soil.

At present, the carrot planting area in Taiwan Province Province is 3460 hectares (according to 1985 Taiwan Province Agricultural Annual Report), and the producing areas are distributed in the central and southern parts.
