Four points for attention when eating crabs healthily:
1. Dead crabs must not be eaten.
When the crab is dying or dead, the oxygen acid in the crab will decompose to produce histamine. Histamine is a toxic substance. With the extension of death time, more and more histamine is accumulated in crabs, and the toxic gas is getting bigger and bigger. Even if crabs are steamed, this toxin is not easy to be destroyed. Histamine can cause allergic food poisoning; Histamine can cause vomiting, abdominal pain and diarrhea. Therefore, never eat dead crabs.
2. Raw crabs and drunken crabs should not be eaten.
Like drunken shrimps, many restaurants have introduced "drunken crabs", but doctors say that eating crabs raw is extremely undesirable. Crabs grow in rivers, lakes and seas, and they like to eat small creatures, aquatic plants and rotting animals. The body surface, gills and gastrointestinal tract of crabs are covered with pathogenic microorganisms such as bacteria and viruses. If you eat crabs raw, pickled or drunk, you may be infected with a chronic parasitic disease called paragonimiasis.
3. Don't chew crabs indiscriminately.
Because the internal structure of meat crabs is relatively complicated, many diners always put a whole crab into their mouths and chew it fiercely when eating crabs. In fact, this will not only fail to appreciate the delicacy of crabs, but also cause food poisoning.
4. Avoid drinking tea when eating crabs.
Some citizens like to drink tea when eating crabs, thinking that it can help digestion, while others eat persimmons after eating crabs, resulting in abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting and other symptoms. This is because the tannic acid in these two foods will solidify into indigestible lumps after meeting with protein of crab, which is easy to cause "stomach persimmon disease". In addition, some citizens think that drinking brown sugar water after eating crabs can drive away the cold, but experts think that this practice is not worth promoting. Because sugar water belongs to sweets, it is easy to produce stagnation in the body, which is not conducive to digestion.
