Eat flat food (dumplings) and glutinous rice balls (Yuanxiao) for breakfast.
3. Happy New Year: On the morning of New Year's Day, adults and children should put on new clothes and shoes. After breakfast, adults take their children out to pay New Year greetings. Generally, four boxes of snacks should be carried during New Year's greetings. The snacks are packed in fruit boxes wrapped in thick paper. The fruit boxes are rectangular, tied with cotton paper ropes, and covered with a square piece of red paper, on which are printed the words "Fu" sprinkled with gold.
This new year greeting activity will last until the fourth day of the lunar new year. People are dressed up and ready to go out to pay New Year's greetings or wait at home to receive people who come to pay New Year's greetings.

Have a family reunion dinner: Before dinner on New Year's Eve, all families go to the water's edge to burn incense and shoot guns to respect the well god, which is the old custom of "sealing the well". Eating fish on New Year's Eve means "there are fish every year" (surplus). In the past, the rice cooker was not empty, and a fish was usually stored. Some deliberately asked children to uncover the rice cooker to see what was there.
The child ran to see it and came back and said loudly, "There are fish in the pot." Adults are happy to say: "well, there is fish (surplus) in my pot, so don't worry about eating!" " This is also a custom to win favor and luck.
5. Shounian: After the New Year's Eve dinner, the housewife will burn incense in front of the kitchen to pick up the kitchen god, and the younger generation will kowtow to the elders and resign. The elders gave the underage children a red paper package to congratulate them on adding another year. From this night until the first day of the lunar new year, the lights were not turned off all night, and the ever-burning lamps were called to light a pot of fire. The whole family chatted around the brazier, eating candy, melon seeds and peanuts and staying up all night, which was called Shousui.
6. Temple Fair and Flower Show: During the Spring Festival, temples of all sizes are open to pilgrims and tourists. There is a market in the temple and in front of it, which is called the temple fair. Flower shows in the suburbs are the most active during the Spring Festival, which are found in almost every village. There are many performances, such as stilts, dry boats, Taiping drums, yangko, banners, lions, cars, bamboo horses and so on. Some villages have to set up greenhouses, hang lanterns and perform various programs.
