1. What is ultraviolet allergy?
The so-called ultraviolet allergy refers to the skin allergic reaction caused by UVA and UVB in the sun directly reaching the dermal layer of the skin, including "phototoxic reaction" and "phototoxic reaction". Phototoxic reaction is a non-immune reaction, skin damage caused by light energy; Photoallergic reaction is an immune reaction, which causes delayed hypersensitivity, and skin damage caused by hypersensitivity, which is called "photosensitivity" in clinic.
Second, the symptoms of ultraviolet allergy
As a natural barrier of human body, skin has the functions of defense and protection. Normal skin has a certain tolerance to sunlight. Some people, however, will have a series of discomfort after being exposed to sunlight, which can be manifested as follows: erythema, papules, erythema, wheal, or bullous rash, accompanied by burning, itching and pain, etc. after being exposed to sunlight; If the sun exposure area is large, a few patients may have symptoms such as fever, headache, nausea, fatigue and general malaise.
If the skin is particularly itchy after being exposed to the sun, you should pay attention to it.
Second, know what skin "ultraviolet allergy" looks like?
The clinical manifestations of ultraviolet allergy are mainly edematous erythema, macula, blister, wheal, papules and nodules at the exposed site. Acute injury will have exudation and erosion, and chronic injury will have lichenization.
Third, people susceptible to ultraviolet allergy?
It is easy to get this disease with light skin color. It is well known that people with white skin are prone to sunburn, especially women, which is related to personal physique. People with allergic constitution and infants with thin skin should also pay attention to skin photosensitivity because of weak skin barrier function. In addition, patients with metabolic abnormalities such as nicotinic acid deficiency and light-triggered aggravated diseases such as chloasma, lupus erythematosus, and keratosis of hair follicles are not suitable for sun exposure, so pay attention to photosensitivity.
The growth of age is also an important reason for skin sensitivity. The aging phenomenon caused by the increased formation of oxidative free radicals in skin tissue cells of middle-aged and elderly patients makes it difficult for foreign allergens to be eliminated, and there are relatively many basic diseases, often taking a variety of drugs, which also promotes the increase of photosensitive probability.
4. Photoallergy belongs to skin diseases and needs scientific prevention and care.
The first step must be to keep the sun from touching the skin. Try not to go out at 10:00~ 14:00. If you go out, you'd better be fully armed. What sunscreen, sunscreen clothes, umbrellas, can not be less. Seriously ill patients should try to avoid using fluorescent lamps and incandescent lamps.
The second step is to pay attention to diet. After eating photosensitive food and exposing yourself to the sun, you will get "plant-solar dermatitis".
Common photosensitive foods are: spinach, coriander, amaranth, mango, pineapple, citrus, shrimp and crab, shellfish and so on. We should pay attention to the amount of these foods in summer. If they are too flashy, we need to avoid exposure to the sun in a short time.
The third step is to live a healthy life. At ordinary times, we should have a healthy and hygienic diet, work and rest regularly, and exercise properly to adjust our immunity in a balanced state.
