Ingredients: 500 grams of wisteria flowers, 400 grams of flour, about 90 grams of cooking oil, appropriate amount of salt.
Seasoning: Garlic paste, chili sauce, etc. in appropriate amounts, depending on your personal taste.
Preparation: Pick off the stems of the wisteria flowers and leave only the buds. Wash them and set them aside to control water for later use.
Steps:
1. Prepare a steamer, add an appropriate amount of water to the pot, put a cage cloth on the wall of the pot, and spread a layer of wisteria flowers to prevent sticking to the pot.
2. Put the remaining wisteria flowers into a clean container, add cooking oil and mix well before adding flour. When adding flour, add it little by little while mixing.
3. Add flour and mix until the wisteria flowers are loose and not sticky. Do not add any more flour. Add an appropriate amount of salt according to personal taste and mix well.
4. Pour the mixed wisteria flowers into the steamer and spread them out, turn on high heat and steam vigorously for about 15 minutes. Open the lid and use chopsticks to copy it to prevent sticking.
5. Continue to steam over high heat for about 15 minutes, turn off the heat, and remove from the pot. If you find that there are still lumps in a ball after taking them out of the pot, just use chopsticks to separate them in time.
6. Spread the steamed wisteria flowers out of the pot, let the moisture escape, add your favorite seasonings according to personal taste, mix well, and eat.
Operation points:
1. There is also a skill in controlling the water of washed wisteria flowers. The best condition is to control the water until there are no water droplets dripping down. If it is too wet, it will easily stick. Using too much flour will affect the taste. If it is too dry, the flour will not stick well.
2. Wisteria flowers must be mixed with cooking oil before adding flour, so that the steamed vegetables will not stick to one big piece. This tip also applies to steaming other vegetables.
Reminder: The wisteria flowers bloomed by this plant can be eaten, but the fruits and the skin and stems of the wisteria are poisonous. Do not eat them by mistake, especially the wisteria fruit pods and the substances in the pods. Beans are more toxic.
