Coconut Rolls Step-by-Step
1
Dough Ingredients: 225g of high-flour, 30g of honey, 3g of yeast, 20g of egg, 110g of milk, 20g of butter.
2
This is the first time that we have ever made coconut rolls.
2
Filling: 25g butter, 20g granulated sugar, 25g whole egg, 50g coconut, 25g milk, surface decoration: a little egg wash.
3
Butter softened at room temperature.
4
Add caster sugar and mix well.
5
Add the egg mixture in batches and mix well.
6
Add the coconut and mix well.
7
Add milk and mix well.
8
The finished coconut filling is already fragrant.
9
Mix the dough ingredients (except butter) and knead into a smooth dough.
10
Add the softened butter and knead into a smooth dough (this recipe makes a softer dough, I wrestled it into a dough and adjusted the amount of milk according to my own flour).
11
Basic fermentation until 2 times the size.
12
Divided into two parts, rolled out and relax for 10 minutes (it's okay if you don't divide it, but I can't roll the whole thing out on a small panel).
13
Take a portion of the dough and roll it into a rectangle (the dough is soft, so you need to spread a thin layer of flour on the panel to make it sticky), spread the coconut evenly, and roll it up from the bottom to the top.
14
Divide into 4 even flours and cut with a sharp knife.
15
Punch up the cut side and arrange on a baking sheet.
16
Flatten some with your hands.
17
Brush the top with egg wash after the second fermentation.
18
Put into the preheated oven at 175 degrees for 18 minutes, the surface of the golden color and a strong coconut aroma is ok~.
19
Remove from the oven and store in a cool, airtight container.
Tips
1. The dough for this recipe is soft, so adjust the amount of milk according to the amount of water absorbed by the flour.
2. Counting the egg wash for brushing the surface, use one egg.
3. The coconut filling is moderately sweet, so if you like it sweet, you can add another 20g of sugar.
