Dukang Liquor is a specialty of Jiuquan Valley in Du Kang Village, south of Luoyang City, Henan Province. Dukang wine was produced in Du Kang village in ancient times. Du Kang Village is also the cradle of Chinese wine culture. Scholars of all ages have an indissoluble bond with Dukang wine, and they often chant wine with poems and brew poems with wine. Because the quality of Dukang liquor is getting higher and higher, 1988, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China issued an announcement, and Dukang liquor was designated as the national banquet liquor.
