1. Jehol was a province in the Republic of China, with Chengde as the capital and one of the four northeastern provinces. People's Republic of China (PRC) was abolished on July 30th after its establishment. 1955.

Jehol Province is located at the junction of Hebei Province, Liaoning Province and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

The name of Jehol comes from the hot springs in chengde mountain resort. After the hot spring water flows into Wulie River, the downstream part of Wulie River in Chengde City does not freeze and steam transpiration in the local cold winter climate, so it is called "hot" river.
