According to the provisions of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora, all kinds of sturgeons such as Russian sturgeon belong to national or local key protected animals in China. Therefore, according to the provisions of Article 22 of the Wildlife Protection Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), the domestication, breeding and operation of sturgeon are subject to the "business license system", and units and individuals engaged in aquatic wildlife and its products business activities, whether for breeding, sales or other purposes, must obtain the "aquatic wildlife business utilization license" issued after the approval of the fishery administrative department, otherwise it will be considered illegal. Acipenser sinensis shall not enter the consumption link and shall not be circulated for sale. According to the relevant regulations of the state, aquatic wildlife species under special state protection after the second generation can be eaten, but they must apply for the Permit for the Operation and Utilization of Aquatic Wildlife and pay the protection fee for aquatic wildlife. There is no charge for handling the license for domestication and breeding of aquatic wild animals. Breeding varieties need to be sold, and a license for the operation and utilization of aquatic wild animals is required. Sturgeon is a national second-class protected aquatic wild animal. To breed sturgeon, you must provide the following materials and apply for the license for domestication and breeding of aquatic wild animals.
