When buying hairy crabs, merchants usually tie the crab legs with ropes, so we don't have to untie them when we go home. Putting it directly in the refrigerator can also avoid the crab's struggle and reduce the crab's physical consumption.
After putting the crab in the refrigerator, we can put a wet towel on the crab. This method can be kept within 3 days, and eat the less lively ones first.
2. Keep it in a basin.
Prepare a slightly higher and larger basin to prevent hairy crabs from running out. Put the hairy crabs flat inside, and be careful not to stack them. Then start adding water to it. The amount of water is about half the height of a crab. Don't put too much water, otherwise the crab can't breathe and will die soon.
Then keep the basin in a cool and ventilated place. This method has been relatively new for five days.
Step 3 put it in the bathtub
I think this is the best way. If the bathtub at home is not used, crabs can be put in it temporarily. Put all the crabs in and add some water. Don't use too much water, which is similar to the above method. If possible, we can also add some small fish and shrimp.
In this way, you can go to see it every day and eat stale crabs as soon as possible. This method can save about 1 week.
