Radish is the root of the cruciferous herb Lycoris radiata. Rafflesia, also known as rutabaga. It is commonly cultivated throughout the country. Dig the fresh root in winter, remove the stem and leaves, wash and use.

Properties taste pungent, sweet, cool; cooked sweet and flat. It can clear away heat and promote generation of body fluid, cool blood and stop bleeding, dissolve phlegm and stop cough, relieve urination and detoxification; the cooked one favors benefiting the spleen and stomach, eliminating food and lowering qi.

Reference contains glucose, sucrose, fructose, adenine, arginine, choline, amylase, vitamins B and C, calcium, phosphorus, manganese, boron and other ingredients.

Alcoholic extract has a strong bacteriostatic effect on Gram-positive bacteria, and water infusion has an inhibitory effect on a variety of skin fungi. In addition, the juice is taken to prevent gallstone formation. Raw radish has anti-cancer effect.
