I bought a bag of curry powder a few months ago, but I kept it on the shelf because I really didn’t know how to get started with an exotic seasoning like curry. In fact, I still like the taste of curry. It is said that curry is also very beneficial to the body, such as increasing appetite, promoting blood circulation, disinfecting and sterilizing, etc. There are many types and flavors of curry. Naturally, we don’t pay that much attention. Generally, we can only see curry powder in supermarkets. After looking up some recipes, I decided to make my own curry meal.
Curry Beef
Ingredients: 500 grams of beef, 2 onions, 2 carrots, 2 potatoes
Seasoning: 1 tablespoon curry powder, 3 garlic clove, 10 grams of ginger, 5 grams of cloves, 5 grams of cinnamon, 1 teaspoon of salt (5 grams), appropriate amount of oil
Method: 1. Make oil curry. If you put the curry powder directly into the soup, it will be more spicy and less fragrant, so you need to stir-fry it into oily curry first. Put some oil in the iron pot, heat the oil over low heat, pour in the curry powder and stir-fry until evenly mixed and fragrant. It is better to use a low heat rather than a high heat; 2. Cut the beef into about 3cm square pieces, put it into boiling water, add ginger slices, blanch it for 10 minutes to remove the blood, then remove and drain the water and set aside;
3. Wash and peel the carrots and potatoes, and cut into equal pieces. Cut onions into wedges;
4. Add oil to the wok. When the oil is hot, add garlic slices, chopped onion cloves, cloves, bay leaves and cinnamon and stir-fry until fragrant. Add oil curry and stir evenly. Then add beef cubes and stir-fry until medium cooked. , then add some boiling water until the water is equal to the beef, and then simmer over medium heat; 5. When the beef is simmered until it is cooked, add carrots and potato pieces, sprinkle with salt and continue to simmer until the meat, carrots and potatoes are cooked through, then remove and serve on a plate.
Tibetan fish curry
Ingredients: sea bass, green and red pepper, onion Seasoning: curry, salt, MSG, dry starch Method: 1. Slaughter the bass, peel it, remove the spines, cut it into sections, rinse it with cold water to remove the blood and fishy smell. Then add salt, MSG and other seasonings and marinate for a few minutes.
2. Wash the green and red peppers and cut them into strips, and cut the onions into strips and set aside.
3. Dip the fish segments evenly with dry starch, put bottom oil in the pot, and deep-fry the fish segments until golden brown. Dip the fish heads and tails with dry starch and fry them until cooked through.
4. When pouring the fish segments out of the pot, sprinkle the green and red pepper segments and onion segments on the fish segments at the same time, and pour hot oil over them. Arrange the fish head and tail according to the shape of the fish.
5. The curry powder needs to be passed through oil first, then the solid matter is removed. Add seasonings to the curry oil, thicken it into a thick sauce, and pour it onto the fish pieces on the plate. This dish has a light curry aroma.
Indian curry tofu
Ingredients: 2 pieces of old tofu, 1/2 onion, 2 tomatoes, 1 green onion, 1 teaspoon of minced garlic, 2 teaspoons of curry powder
p>Seasonings: 1/2 tsp light soy sauce, 1/4 tsp salt, 2 tbsp sugar, 1 cup water.
Gorgon juice ingredients: 1 teaspoon cornstarch, 2 tablespoons water.
Method: 1. Remove the water from the tofu and cut into thick pieces, fry over low heat until slightly brown and serve on a plate.
2. Peel and shred the onion, peel, remove seeds and cut the tomatoes into cubes, and cut the green onions into sections.
3. Heat a little oil in a pot, sauté garlic, green onions, curry powder, and onions until fragrant. Add tomatoes and seasonings and bring to a boil. Pour in the gravy and pour over the tofu.
It seems that making curry is not difficult. If you are smart, you can also use it freely and try to make curry chicken nuggets, curry beef noodles, curry meatballs, curry fried rice, etc.
Of course you can use powder, just mix it with warm water if you are free, or make oil curry as mentioned above
