Sylvia (Penélope Cruz), a seamstress at the Sanson underwear factory in a small Spanish town, falls in love with Josie, the owner's son, and becomes pregnant with his child. The indecisive Josie vows to marry Sylvia, but is strongly opposed by her mother. In order to break them up, Josie's mother hires Lou, a hunky underwear model, to seduce Sylvia, while at the same time succumbing to Lou's youthful androgynous charms. Josie is devastated when she senses that her girlfriend has moved on, and finds solace in Sylvia's mother. A fragile love, a confused lust, where does it all go from here? Sylvia, a sexy, beautiful young woman, is a textile worker in a small town. Her father abandoned her when she was young, and her mother raised her and her two sisters in a bar. Sylvia falls in love with Louis Hershey, the only son of the town's wealthy Samson family, and becomes pregnant with his child. Raised in a hothouse, Louis José was a weakling who always appeared to be a coward under the discipline of his strict mother. José's mother was very reluctant when she heard that her son was going to marry Schwylla. This was because José's father, Manu, had had an affair with Schwiya's mother.

Schwia's mother had worked as a prostitute in order to raise several children. Even currently, she prostituted herself occasionally. Unbeknownst to Schwia, boyfriend Louis Jose was a regular client of her mother's.

In order to keep her son from bonding with the daughter of a prostitute, Louis José's mother found someone to seduce Schwia. The man she sought out was Lou, a panty model in their family's company. Being an underwear model is only a part-time job for Lou, who is also a worker in a ham factory. He is a man full of wildness, who likes thrilling sports such as biking and bullfighting, and has always hoped to make a name for himself through bullfighting. However, he is a poor man, and for the sake of money, he immediately agrees to Jose's mother's request to seduce Sylvia in any way he can. Sylvia was not impressed at first, but as time went by, she realized that the wildness of the man in Lu was fundamentally different from the cowardice of José, and gradually fell in love with Lu. Jose returned home and cried to his mother. When her mother realized that Schwia was pregnant and that she didn't want her sexual partner, Lou, to get in too deep, she told her son that she could take care of everything. That night, she went to Schwia's house and told Schwia that Lou was nothing more than a tool she had paid for. But there was no going back, and Schwia didn't want to marry Jose.

The next day, Jose's mother comes back to see Lou. But even more money couldn't buy Lou's love for Schwia. José's mother can't forget to have sex with Lou again at this moment, and she's in the middle of it when José breaks in. José saw his mother naked and couldn't help but be furious, picking up the dry ham and fighting with Lou.

Schwia learns that Jose has gone to Lou and, fearing the worst, immediately goes to see Jose's father, Manu. When Manu sees the daughter of the prostitute with whom he had a relationship, he actually feels the vigor of youth, and in a moment of emotion, he kisses Schwiya. Sylvia is also impressed by the old man with his gentlemanly ways and kisses him back. When they drove to the place where Lou worked, the strong Lou had blundered into beating Jose to death.

Joseph's mother cried out in pain as she looked at her son's body, and Schwiya cried out as well. Schwia's mother, who had heard the news, hugged Jose's body in pain, and it turned out that she was the one who loved Jose the most.
