The founder of the school is Wu Junbao.

Wu Junbao was born in Hefei, Anhui in 1965. He founded New Oriental Cooking Education in 1988 and developed it into a brand focusing on cooking technology education. It is affiliated to Xinhua Education Group and its brands include New Oriental Cooking Education , Wantong Automotive Education, Huaxin Zhiyuan DT Talent Training Base, Omich Western Pastry and Western Food Education and many other well-known brands in the field of vocational education. As an earlier and well-known culinary training institution in China, New Oriental Cooking School has provided a large number of culinary professionals to the society.
