Morchella is a fungus belonging to Morchella. Its cap is nearly spherical, oval to oval, and its height can reach 10 cm. Its top is blunt and round, and there is a pit like a sheep's belly on its surface. The pits vary from eggshell color to yellowish brown, with shallow ribs, nearly cylindrical stalks, nearly white stalks, hollow cylinders, long oval spores, colorless, swollen lateral filaments at the top, light weight and crisp quality.

Brief introduction of Morchella

Morchella is distributed all over the world, including France, Germany, the United States, India and China, followed by Russia, Sweden, Mexico, Spain, Czechoslovakia and Pakistan.

Morchella is widely distributed in China, covering three northeastern provinces in the north, Guangdong, Fujian and Taiwan Province provinces in the south, Shandong in the east and Xinjiang, Tibet, Ningxia and Guizhou in the west. Morchella mostly grows on the humus layer of broad-leaved forest or mixed coniferous and broad-leaved forest.

It mainly grows in sandy loam or cinnamon soil and brown soil rich in humus. Morchella is easy to occur in the forest after the fire. Morchella esculenta, whose cap is nearly spherical, ovoid to ovoid, 4- 10 cm high and 3-6 cm wide, with a blunt top and a pit like a lamb's belly on the surface.

The pits are amorphous to nearly round, with a width of 4- 12 mm, eggshell color to yellowish brown, light ribbed color and irregular crossing. The stem is nearly cylindrical, nearly white, hollow, smooth at the upper part, swollen at the base, with irregular shallow grooves, 5-7 cm long, about 2/3 of the thickness of the cap.
