Huanjing woke up early and slept late, wearing stars and moonlight, practicing hard.

One day, Fei Changfang said, "On the ninth day of the ninth month, the plague demon will come again, you can go back to get rid of the harm." And gave him a bag of cornelian cherry leaves and a bottle of chrysanthemum wine, so that his hometown fathers and mothers could ascend the heights to avoid the disaster. On the ninth day of the ninth month, he led his wife and children, his folks and elders to climb a nearby mountain.

The dogwood leaves were distributed to everyone to take with them, and the plague demon did not dare to come near. He also poured out chrysanthemum wine, and each person drank a mouthful to avoid catching the plague. He fought with the plague demon and finally killed it. The people on both sides of the Ru River have passed down the story of ascending the heights on the ninth day of the ninth month to avoid the plague and the story of Huanjing stabbing the plague demon with his sword to the present day. Since then, people have been celebrating the Chongyang Festival with the custom of ascending the heights on the ninth day of the ninth month.
