Efficacy and function of shepherd's purse
Shepherd's purse, commonly known as ground vegetable, is an annual or perennial herb with pinnately divided leaves and white flowers. Shepherd's purse can be eaten when it is tender. It's delicious to wrap jiaozi in pork or eggs. So, what are the effects and functions of shepherd's purse? Now, let me introduce you. Welcome to reading.

The efficacy and function of shepherd's purse;

Shepherd's purse is not only a delicious wild vegetable, but also has high medicinal value. As a whole grass, it has the effects of improving eyesight, cooling, relieving fever, diuresis and treating dysentery. Its flowers and seeds can stop bleeding and treat hematuria, nephritis, hypertension, hemoptysis, dysentery, measles, dizziness and eye pain. Shepherd's purse seed contains 20% ~ 30% oil, which can be used to make soap or paint. Shepherd's purse is cold-resistant and easy to protect and cultivate in winter, which has a certain effect on supplying green leafy vegetables in winter.

1 Effects on heart and blood vessels

Intravenous injection of ethanol extract of shepherd's purse in dogs, cats, rabbits and rats can produce transient blood pressure drop, which is not affected by 80? G/kg atropine antagonism. The effective components of the whole plant can also temporarily lower the blood pressure of rats, cats, dogs and dogs, and can not be antagonized by atropine, but can be inhibited by prone-ethanol. There is no change in ECG, which can dilate the coronary vessels of dogs and retired guinea pigs. It can also inhibit the isolated cat heart fibrillation caused by ouabain. Intravenous injection of shepherd's purse extract in rabbits can lower blood pressure, but it can't reverse the effect of adrenaline. The volatile liquid or fluid extract of shepherd's purse soup has short-term antihypertensive effect on anesthetized dogs. If atropine is used first, it can fight against the drop of blood pressure. Intravenous injection of dried shepherd's purse extract can quickly reduce the blood pressure of dogs to 40-50%. It can also lower the blood pressure of chickens. The ethanol extract of shepherd's purse (20%-0.5ml) had no effect on the lower limbs of frogs. Dried shepherd's purse infusion, high concentration (10%) makes blood vessels contract, and low concentration (below 2%) makes blood vessels dilate. Alcohol extract can dilate the blood vessels of dogs' lower limbs. It was thought that its antihypertensive effect was related to choline and acetylcholine, but these two substances were not found in the ethanol extract of shepherd's purse, and a quaternary ammonium compound different from acetylcholine was found.

Effect of 2 on uterus

Shepherd's purse has a similar effect to ergot. Its extract has obvious contraction when used in isolated uterus or intestine of animals. The ethanol extract of the whole plant has oxytocin-like uterine contraction effect. The effective components of the whole plant can make the isolated uterus of mice and rats contract. It can enhance the contraction of isolated rat uterus (not pregnant), in vivo rabbit uterus (pregnant and not pregnant) and in vivo cat uterus (not pregnant). Intravenous injection of 0.08-0.8g/kg equivalent crude drug into rabbits with uterine weakness can strengthen uterine contraction and slightly increase muscle tension and frequency. The same is true of decoction (equivalent to 5.263g/kg crude drug). Active ingredient for stimulating uterus, soluble in water and hydrous alcohol, insoluble or extremely insoluble in pure alcohol, petroleum ether, anhydrous ether or anhydrous chloroform. Shepherd's purse extract also has a strong effect on the uterus of unmated guinea pigs (fresh juice is similar to dry medicine)

Shepherd's purse has high nutritional value. Every 100g shepherd's purse contains 5.2g of protein, 0.4g of fat, 6g of carbohydrate, 420mg of calcium, 73mg of phosphorus, 6.3mg of iron, 3.2mg of carotene and 0/0.14mg of vitamin C and carotene.

Common recipes are: shepherd's purse jiaozi and shepherd's purse egg soup.

? On March 3rd, boiled eggs with local dishes? , is a folk custom in Jiangnan area.

Note: it is best to soak shepherd's purse in clear water for a period of time, otherwise it may be poisoned.

3 Hemostatic effect

Capsella bursa-pastoris contains cystic acid, which has hemostatic effect. Capsella bursa-pastoris extract (containing oxalic acid) is injected intravenously or intramuscularly (2-3ml each time, every 2-4 hours 1 time, and the maximum dose per day 15ml), and the hemostatic effect is obvious. For hemophiliacs, it can increase the resistance to thrombosis. A small amount (equivalent to 0.02g/ 10g crude drug) can shorten the bleeding time of more than half of mice, and a large amount (equivalent to 0.06g/ 10g crude drug) can prolong the bleeding time of most mice. Injecting the volatile liquid of fluid extract into the abdominal cavity of mice can shorten the bleeding time (the dosage is large and obvious) Intravenous injection of volatile liquid of fluid extract can shorten the coagulation time of rabbits. But there are also reports to the contrary. The shepherd's purse, which grew in Samarkand with hot climate and dry soil, was made into 10% immersion liquid and injected subcutaneously into rats, which obviously prolonged the coagulation time, but caused bleeding. 10% shepherd's purse extract 0. 1ml has no effect on coagulation in rabbits.

4 Other functions

Capsella bursa-pastoris extract can prolong the sleep time of barbital. Intravenous injection of volatile liquid of Capsella bursa-pastoris decoction or fluid extract can stimulate the breathing of anesthetized dogs. Using atropine first can't affect this effect. It has also been reported that dried shepherd's purse extract can reduce the respiratory movement of dogs to 20-50% of the original, and sometimes even worse. The effective components of shepherd's purse can contract the smooth muscle of trachea and small intestine. Atropine was first used to slightly inhibit the small intestine of guinea pigs, and then ethanol extract of shepherd's purse could make the intestine recover after contraction. In addition, intraperitoneal injection of ethanol extract of shepherd's purse can inhibit dextran-induced edema of lower limbs and carrageenan-induced increase of capillary permeability in rats. It can inhibit 90% Shay ulcer and accelerate the healing of stress ulcer. It has diuretic effect on mice. For rabbits with artificial fever, shepherd's purse has a slight antipyretic effect

Clinical application of shepherd's purse;

1. Treatment of chyluria: Take 4 kg of Capsella bursa-pastoris (root) to 1 kg, wash and cook the soup (without oil or salt), and take it in installments or three times for 1-3 months. Nine cases were observed. After taking the medicine, chyluria changed in the first 3-4 days, and changed from thick to light and from light to clear in the last 45 days. After 9-30 months observation, no recurrence was found. In another case of chyluria, the abdominal pain was relieved immediately after taking the medicine for 4 days, and the urine returned to normal (including macroscopic and microscopic examination). After continuous treatment for 2 months, there was no recurrence in the middle of the year.

2. Treatment of postpartum hemorrhage: use fresh shepherd's purse 1 twice, decoct in water twice, and take 1 dose daily. Three cases were treated, all of which were effective.

3. Measles prevention: 2 kg of shepherd's purse and 2 kg of water, thick fried into 1 kg. Every week 1 time, each time 100ml, 150 people took preventive drugs, and 7 people got sick; Control group 130, with 56 patients.
