It takes about 8- 10 minutes to steam eggplant, and it takes longer for larger eggplant. If it is white eggplant, cut the eggplant in half first, and then steam it in a pot for five minutes. Because white eggplant is thin and tender, it only needs to be steamed for five minutes to be cooked thoroughly. If it is a red-skinned eggplant, the skin is thick, so it takes 10- 15 minutes for the eggplant to be cooked thoroughly after being cut.

Introduction of eggplant

Eggplant belongs to Solanaceae and originated in tropical Southeast Asia. Eggplant is one of the most widely cultivated vegetables in northern and southern China. The growth period of eggplant is generally about 2 months, and the development speed of eggplant itself is relatively fast, so the time from sowing to harvesting is almost 2~3 months. The germination period is calculated from the appearance of the first real leaf.
