1 Put carrots on straw
Spread a thick layer of straw or leaves on the ground and add a layer of plastic or tarpaulin. Cover with straw or leaves. Then add carrots.
2. Store in the cellar.
Like most root crops, carrots are easier to store in the basement. Don't wash carrots before you put them in the cellar. Put them in a box. Put some wet sand, sawdust or straw in the box. When there is enough humidity, they can be kept for 4-6 months.
Dried carrots
Trim, peel, wash and slice. Blanch for 3 minutes, then dry in the sun. If you are in the city and it is not convenient to bask in the sun, you can put it in the oven to dry. Pay attention to temperature control, or if you have a food dehydrator, you can dehydrate carrots for stewing.
freeze
Trim carrots, wash them thoroughly, slice them, and blanch them in boiling water for 3 minutes. Then put the carrots in a container and put them in the refrigerator.
Put it in the refrigerator
If there is no cellar, you can follow the same idea, do not wash it, trim it a little, put some wet sawdust or straw, put it in a sealed bag, and then put it in the refrigerator. It can be kept for 2 months.
