Sea bass is both a sea fish and a freshwater fish.

Sea bass is distributed in the western part of the Pacific Ocean, China's coastal production, to the Yellow Sea, the Bohai Sea more, the fishing season for the spring and fall seasons. October-November each year for the fishing season, when the perch will migrate to the salt water or freshwater areas. In China, there are more varieties of sea bass, the more common are four kinds of sea bass, Songjiang bass, seven star bass and California bass.

Sea bass, ferocious, feeding on fish and shrimp. Sea bass has a thick and longer body with very rough scales, usually 110-120cm in length and 15-18kg in weight, with the lower jaw longer than the upper jaw and a pointed mouth. The white sea bass has a greenish-gray back, a whiter belly, and irregular black spots on the side of the body; the black sea bass is darker in color, with an overall dark black-gray color and inconspicuous black spots.
