Good Food Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is an independent quality assurance system. In order to improve consumers' understanding and trust in GMP, some countries and regions have carried out voluntary certification of GMP.
Taiwan Province Province of China started GMP certification from 1989. At present, there are nearly 30 kinds of GMP-certified foods, such as beverages, cold drinks, flour, candy, tea, noodles, edible oil, canned food, aquatic products and meat products. Food GMP certification procedures include application acceptance, data review, on-site inspection and evaluation, product sampling, certification publicity, certificate issuance, follow-up evaluation and other steps.
