Types of flour
Flour is a powder ground from wheat. According to the protein content in flour, it can be divided into high-gluten flour, medium-gluten flour, low-gluten flour and gluten-free flour; according to the use, it can also be divided into whole-wheat flour, bread flour, cake flour and stone-ground flour.
The difference between barley and wheat
Judging from the awns, the two ends of barley are pointed and slender. The awns of barley are very long, about the same length as ears of wheat; while the ends of wheat are rounder, shorter, and rounder. The awns of wheat are relatively short. The main uses of barley are to make feed and produce malt to make beer. If it is roasted, it is barley tea. If ground into flour, the noodles will be sticky and have a poor taste, so they are not suitable for making food. However, the flour products we eat every day are basically made from wheat ground into flour.
