How to plant chive seeds at home
Step 1: Prepare the soil and soak the seeds.

Onion is not strict with the soil, as long as it is loose, breathable and fertile, and you can dig some soil from the wild. If you want to make the shallots grow better, you can choose more fertile soil such as humus.

The night before sowing, put the prepared soil in a container and water it. Before sowing, soak the shallot seeds in warm water of about 55 degrees for 20 minutes, and then take them out to dry.

Step 2: sow.

Potted shallots can be used in various containers, flowerpots or foam boxes. Just make a small hole at the bottom of the container that can leak water, so that the excess water can be discharged smoothly.

Then dig a small hole in the soil every 12 to 15cm, and sprinkle 3 to 5 seeds in each hole. After all the seeds are put away, sprinkle a layer of moist fine soil (the thickness of the covering soil is about 1 ~ 2 times the diameter of the seeds, if it is too thin, the seeds will be unearthed with a cap, which will lead to poor growth and if it is too thick, it will not germinate easily), then gently flatten it and pour some more.

Step 3: Daily care

The daily management after sowing is very simple, as long as you pay attention to keeping the soil moist. The optimum temperature for spring onion seeds to germinate is 18 to 25 degrees, and 12 to 16 days later! The suitable growth temperature after germination is 18 ~ 35℃.
