Characteristics of rape
Brassica napus, with dark green leaves, wide upper leaves and narrow lower leaves, deep crack edge and main pulse width, is similar to that of cabbage and carrot, and its surface is covered with wax powder. Petals are large and yellow, and overlap when they bloom. The yield of Brassica napus is high, and the 1000-grain weight can reach 6-7 grams. It is the largest rape variety in the world.
The leaves of Brassica campestris are short and round, and the leaves are tilted, with or without bristles. Similar to Shanghai green vegetables and Chinese cabbage, Chinese cabbage rape can not only produce rapeseed oil, but also produce a wide variety of vegetable rape, which is the most widely planted and distributed rape type in the world.
Mustard rape has long oval leaves, shallow leaf margin, few bristles, tall plants and stout branches, and the leaves are similar to edible media. The main roots of Brassica juncea are developed and barren-tolerant, but the yield is not high. The 1000-grain weight is only1.5 ~ 2.5g, and the planting area is gradually decreasing.
