semi-evergreen vine. Young branches are dark reddish brown, densely covered with stiff, straight, coarse, glandular and pilose hairs, and the lower part is often hairless. The leaves are papery, ovate or oblong-ovate, sometimes ovate-lanceolate, sparsely ovoid or obovate, rarely with 1 to several blunt nicks, 3-5(-9.5) cm long, round or nearly heart-shaped at the base, with rough hairs, and light green below. Both sides of the upper leaves of branchlets are densely rough, the lower leaves are often hairless, and the lower leaves are somewhat bluish gray. Petiole 4-8 mm long, densely pilose.
