Tian Fei Maotai uses local high-quality waxy sorghum, which is different from the local characters. That is to say, Prince uses red sorghum from non-Maotai town (mostly northeast sorghum), while Tian Fei Maotai uses red tassel sorghum from Maotai town. The difference between the two is that the red tassel sorghum is solid, full and uniform, with small particles and thick skin, and the amylopectin content is over 88%, which is more conducive to the repeated baking of Moutai and the fermented wine tastes better.
The base wine used in Tian Fei Maotai is five years old, and the prince is three years old. The prince took the wine three times, the base wine for three years, and blended the base wine three times according to a certain proportion.
Tian Fei Moutai liquor is characterized by "outstanding maotai flavor, elegance and delicacy, mellow body, long aftertaste, leaving fragrance in an empty cup", while moutai prince liquor is characterized by "strong maotai flavor, elegance and delicacy, full and mellow aftertaste, leaving fragrance in an empty cup, and staying drunk without returning".
