May Day (Second Day) Trip to Gupo Mountain - Hezhou, Guangxi - the only longevity "city"

On the way to Gupo Mountain, I kept seeing the titles "Hometown of Longevity in China" and "Global Longevity City", and I suddenly discovered that longevity is the number one brand of Hezhou!

A longevity economic development summit forum on October 25 last year directly recognized Babu District and Pinggui District as the hometown of longevity. This direct impact is that the three counties and two districts under the jurisdiction of Hezhou are all the hometown of longevity.

The entire Hezhou has become the only longevity "city" in China.

As early as 2015, three counties under the jurisdiction of Hezhou, Zhaoping County, Zhongshan County, and Fushan Yao Autonomous County, have been selected as the hometown of longevity.

When I stepped into Zhaoping before, I had already seen various signage advertisements on highways, tourist areas, etc., announcing this honor. In fact, I can also confirm from the local elderly that there are indeed many elderly people here.

When driving to Gupo Mountain (Zhaoping to Gupo Mountain), the journey needs to pass through the Heba Expressway, which takes less than two hours (the smaller half of the road is mountainous county roads and rural roads, which are more difficult to walk).

From the Heba Expressway to the Shantou-Kunming Expressway and then down the expressway, the expressway becomes a national highway, a provincial highway, a county road, a rural road, and a trail. It feels like the blood vessels of the human body, from the aorta to the capillaries.

On the final journey, we started to experience more scenic spots along the way. We actually passed famous scenic spots such as Shishashui and Hezhou Hot Springs along the way, which were strung together like a necklace of pearls.

It made us very active, almost wanting to stop and play bit by bit.

But in the end we determined our goal, our Gupo Mountain Scenic Area.

When you pass by the expressway, the road signs keep reminding you that there is a famous Gupo Mountain Scenic Area nearby. It is a completely different feeling than driving up there now.

Because something that had no concept at all suddenly became concrete and detailed.

When I didn't see it, I pictured a large forest in my mind.

Now as you travel along the road, this landscape continues to materialize, and finally forms the entire scene of Gupo Mountain, which may be completely different from the artistic conception in your mind.

Oh, it turns out that mountains are like this. Different from the big rocks standing on the ground like Guilin's landscape, Gupo Mountain is completely a mountain where you can't see the whole mountain. You need to walk in, climb and understand it.

Oh, it turns out that the water is like this, and the stream is like this. Climbing Gupo Mountain is basically climbing along this jade-white stream until you reach Fairy Peak.

The entire Gupo Mountain Scenic Area is divided into two parts.

Part of it is the development zone at the foot of the mountain. There are seven or eight scenic spots here, which can be reached by sightseeing bus. You can go to each scenic spot and finally reach Xiangu Waterfall. This may be the most beautiful waterfall in this scenic spot, and also the most beautiful.

Accessible waterfall.

There are also several scenic spots. I took a tour bus and took a look. Because of the limited time, we only arrived in the afternoon.

If you are a mountaineering enthusiast, then the next part is the key point. Continue walking up from Xiangu Waterfall. In about 20 minutes, you can go to the starting point of climbing on the top of Gupo Mountain. From here, it takes about four hours to climb to Fairy Peak.

In fact, what supported me when I wanted to climb up was a vaguely large windmill (later a friend told me that the windmill generated electricity was made by their company). From here, I and two friends passed by Yilezhai, Fushou Tianmen,

Luohan Waterfall, Chalu Pavilion, etc. finally stopped climbing because an hour and a half had passed.

For me, I have already measured half of the top of the mountain. If I climb any more, my body may not be able to bear it anymore, and it will get dark soon.

Secondly, it is also a good choice to leave a regret and give yourself a reason to come again.

When going up the mountain, I almost asked every tourist going down if they saw the windmill and how long it would take to climb to the top.

Many people held bamboo sticks and persuaded us not to climb anymore, because they started climbing in the morning, and they looked exhausted after four hours of climbing.

So when we were halfway down the mountain, it still felt like a wise choice to let them see us who were still energetic and walking.

Finally, let me summarize and recommend.

Gupo Mountain is indeed a good place worth visiting, a place worth spending a day or two visiting.

First, there are many waterfalls along the way, and the waterfalls will make you feel relaxed and happy.

Feel it and feel the uncanny workmanship of nature.

Second, the entire climb is basically upstream along a stream. The water in this stream is particularly clear, and the rocks are particularly clean and beautiful. There will be sections of streams that give you different feelings and will make you fall in love with them.

Third, the air here is very fresh and the negative ions in the air are very high. When walking, you feel like you are swimming in the negative ion generator.

Fourth, the highest peaks and windmills will attract you to conquer (because I have not conquered them, so it is more worthy of my going there next time). Finally, I became a barefoot fairy #My City Business Card
