1, different raw materials
Dry red wine is made from red grape varieties. Dry white wine is made from white grape varieties. However, because dry white grapes will be squeezed first (filtering skin residue) in the brewing process, other red-skinned grapes with white flesh can also be used to brew white wine.
2, the brewing process is different
In the brewing process of dry red wine, plant structures such as peel, seeds and fruit stalks are fermented with grape juice, and phenolic substances such as tannins and pigments in solid substances are dissolved in the wine. Before fermentation, dry white wine will squeeze the crushed solid and liquid plant substances to separate the grape juice, and the removed color carrier-skin residue will also take away other isomorphic flavor substances.
Wine storage requirements:
If you only buy one bottle, you only need a cool, dry, dark space away from light and vibration. A small wine rack or even a paper box can temporarily store wine. The basic requirements are a cool environment (the ideal temperature is 55-65 degrees Fahrenheit,12.8-18.3 degrees Celsius), constant temperature and avoiding direct sunlight. If you can't finish it for a while, whether it's on the wine rack or in a box, in order to prevent the stopper from cracking, the wine bottle should be put upside down.
If you plan to buy and store a lot of wine for later use, you need a bigger space, such as a small room, a narrow gap, under the stairs, a basement or a part of a garage. Choose a bigger space to become a real wine collector. If there is wine that needs long-term aging, it is necessary to invest in building a fully equipped wine cellar, which needs wine cabinets, refrigerators, humidifiers and so on.
