The scientific name of horse-faced fish is blue-finned horse-faced bream, and Chaoshan is commonly known as Di Zi; In Shanghai and Fujian and Zhejiang, it is called rubber fish and peeled fish, and in the north, it is called lard, cobbler fish, bread fish and roasted croissant. The horse-faced fish is a warm near-bottom fish, which is mainly distributed in the East, South, Yellow Sea, Bohai Sea, South Korea and Japan, and is also found in South Africa. Not only the yield is high, but also the fish season is concentrated, and its main flood season is from early February to late May. At present, the East China Sea has the largest output, with the highest annual output reaching about 250,000 tons, making it the second largest marine economic fish species after hairtail in China.
