500g of glutinous rice flour
450g of brown sugar
a few red dates (can be left out)
500ml of water
Methods for brown sugar rice cakes
1. Boil the brown sugar in water and let it cool down. Pour it into the glutinous rice flour and mix well
3. Pour the batter into a well oiled cake pan or mold, sprinkle with red dates, and put it into a steamer on high heat to steam for about 50 minutes to 1 hour (insert chopsticks into the cake, and if the chopsticks aren't stained with the batter, it means that the cake is already cooked)
4. Let it cool down, and then put it into the refrigerator for at least 1 hour
5. Fry both sides in a little oil until golden brown.
