There are many kinds of Chinese patent medicines for treating children's cough, and there are various prescriptions, but the prescriptions contain ephedra, gypsum, almond and licorice, and the effect of relieving cough and resolving phlegm is ideal.
These herbs are the famous prescription "Ma Xing Shi Gan Tang" created by Zhang Zhongjing, a medical sage, and many famous pediatricians have a special liking for this prescription. Therefore, parents should carefully look at the composition of the medicine when choosing Chinese patent medicine for relieving cough. No matter how complicated the prescription is, as long as it contains four kinds of drugs: ephedra, gypsum, almond and licorice, it generally has a good antitussive and expectorant effect.
