What is peach gum?
Its physical composition is mainly composed of galactose, rhamnose, carbohydrate, fat and protein. It is caused by damage to the trunk of the peach tree or fungal infection, and then the peach tree will have a self-protection ability. It can protect itself with peach gum.
How is peach gum made?
1, and the harvested peach gum is a quarter of the growth of peach trees. Cut the gum on the trunk with a knife and dry it. This is the raw material of peach gum. (Don't damage the bark when harvesting peach gum)
2. Soak the raw materials of dried peach gum collected by sundries in water (solid-liquid ratio 1: 2).
3. After the raw materials are expanded, they are torn into small pieces to remove impurities such as bark, sawdust and sediment. Then drain water and move on to the next process.
4. Hydrolysis: Add the impurity-removed raw materials and water into a jacketed reaction kettle, stir and heat with steam or oil bath, and control the temperature at about 65438 020℃. The reaction is completed within 3-6 hours, filtered by a 40-mesh copper mesh screen, and put into a large tank to obtain the product to be bleached.
5. Bleaching: the products to be bleached are vigorously stirred, and 10% sodium chlorate bleach is gradually added, and 0. 1%-0.2% formaldehyde or 0.005% carbendazim preservative is added. It is a semi-finished product that basically does not fade.
6. Put it on a stainless steel plate and dry it with steam for purification, or directly put it in a pot and heat it with fire. It should be turned continuously during heating, and a paste product with water content of 50% can be obtained after drying. If dried or oven-dried, pure solid peach gum can be obtained.
How to soak peach gum?
1, an adult can take 3 to 5 capsules of peach gum every day, so it's better to soak only 3 to 5 capsules at a time, not too much. Put 3 to 5 pieces of peach gum into a clean container, and add about 30 times of cold water, because the foaming rate of high-quality peach gum is about 10 times, and it can't be fully foamed without adding water.
2. Because peach gum is picked from peach trees, it will inevitably bring some impurities such as tree cuttings, but these impurities are not firmly attached and easy to wash off. After soaking in cold water 1 to 2 hours, the impurities on the peach gum began to fall off naturally. At this time, we can take out the peach gum and change it into clear water to continue soaking.
3. After repeated use of clear water for several times, the impurities on the peach gum are basically removed, and it feels hard to hold it by hand, so we can end the soaking process. At this time, the peach gum will expand greatly. If there are impurities, you can see them clearly. Just pick them out with tweezers or scissors.
At this point, the peach gum has been soaked clean, and you can safely use it to cook all kinds of delicious food.
