Tonga is located near the southern equator, between 173- 177 west longitude. Because it is close to the west of international international date line, it is the first country to welcome a new day, and it is also the first country to enter the New Year to welcome the New Year. Samoa, located in the east of international date line, is the latest country in the world to start the New Year.

China time zone

China adopts "Beijing time", that is, the area of the East Eight Districts where the capital Beijing is located, as the national unified use time.

During the Republic of China, Chinese mainland was divided into five time zones:

Central China time zone: the central meridian is east longitude 120 degrees.

Longshu time zone: East longitude of the central meridian 105 degrees.

New Tibet time zone: 90 degrees east longitude is the central meridian.

Kunlun Time Zone: The central meridian is 75(82.5) degrees east longitude.

Changbai time zone: the central meridian is 135( 127.5) degrees east longitude.
