Longtansi Revolutionary Stronghold is located in Longtansi (also known as Tanxia Temple), Xiye Village, Shapu Town, Fuqing City.

Longtansi is located in a remote place, which is convenient for hiding; near the sea, the sea transportation is convenient; the people in the village have high consciousness, and there is a very deep revolutionary foundation. For this reason, Longtan Temple became the revolutionary stronghold of Fuqing underground guerrillas during the Revolutionary Period, the War of Resistance against Japan and the War of Liberation, and many anti-Japanese guerrillas and underground revolutionary workers lived here.

During September 1944, the C*** Fujian Provincial Committee held an enlarged meeting in Nanyang, Changle, to deploy the anti-Japanese guerrilla war. The meeting decided to organize armed forces to combat the Japanese invaders and KMT - forces. In the early winter of that year, Chen Hengyuan, the secretary of the central county committee of C***Fuqing, and He Xutao brought seventy to eighty underground guerrillas to Longtan Temple, which was used as a stronghold to carry out anti-Japanese struggle. They incorporated the Gaoshan Wengtingmu Self-Defense Force and established a people's anti-Japanese self-defense armed force of more than 200 people.

During the Liberation War, leaders at all levels of the C*** underground organization held secret meetings in the temple to deploy forces to combat the KMT - forces. 1947, Longtan Temple reopened Longtan Elementary School, with Ye Zaiyuan as the principal, and Wang Yuanda as a teacher, where they continued to carry out underground revolutionary activities. 1949, they also organized dozens of guerrillas to assist in the attack on the KMT 96th Army at Longtan, and repeatedly attacked the KMT Joint Security Force (JSSF) in Salt Lake, and the KMT's Salt Lake. and repeatedly attacked the KMT United Protection Salt Soldiers anti-smuggling team, etc. until liberation. Longtan Temple witnessed the glorious history of revolutionary struggle in Longgao Peninsula.

Longtan Temple (also known as Tanxia Temple) was built in an unknown date, covers an area of 7277 square meters. It was rebuilt in 1995 due to the heavy damage caused by old age and disrepair.
