1) One is to dedicate it to yourself or your relatives. The dedication text is generally like this: the dedication text (dedicate it after each meritorious deeds): (Place your palms together) Disciple ××× is willing to The merits of reciting x parts of the Ksitigarbha Sutra (or reciting the holy names of Buddha and Bodhisattva x ten thousand voices) are dedicated to the disciples (or designated others) ××× enemies, creditors, and lineage members of all generations. Pray to the Great Merciful and Compassionate Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva Namo to be the master of mercy and free them, so that their karmic obstacles can be eliminated, they can escape suffering and gain happiness, and be reborn in the Pure Land. Disciple ××× sincerely asks for repentance. (Read three times) Note: This dedication is specially designated to be dedicated to oneself or to relatives and friends who have been enemies and creditors for countless lifetimes. It is not used for other dedications. After returning home, recite the following three refuge verses for the enemy, creditors, and family members of the past generations: May the disciple ×××, the enemy, creditors, and family members of the past generations take refuge in the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha; may the two-legged Buddha take refuge in the Buddha. , take refuge in the Dharma, the Lord of Dispassion from Desires, take refuge in the Supreme Being among the Sangha; take refuge in the Buddha and avoid falling into hell, take refuge in the Dharma and avoid falling into hungry ghosts, take refuge in the Sangha and avoid falling into other beings (animals). Take refuge in the Buddha, take refuge in the Dharma, and take refuge in the Sangha. Namo Amitabha. (Read it three times). (Note 5) 2) There is also a great dedication, which is dedicated to the Dharma Realm. Typical examples are: I wish to use this merit to adorn the Buddha’s Pure Land, repay the fourfold kindness, and relieve the sufferings of the three paths. If anyone has seen and heard it, I will all arouse bodhicitta. After completing this Sambhogakaya, I wish to be reborn in the Land of Ultimate Bliss and spread this merit to all. We and all sentient beings will eventually achieve Buddhahood. Among the ten wishes of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva are: the retribution of all merits and deeds. Together with all sentient beings, we must dedicate our merits to Anuttarasamyaksambodhi and uphold immeasurable wisdom. And kill all sentient beings. Dedicate all my devotion to Anuttarasamyaksambodhi. Past empty. Come empty. Now empty. There is no one who has any dedication. There is no way to dedicate it. There is no place to return. The Bodhisattva Mahasattva considers it as a dedication. When you make this dedication, all three places will be pure. This will purify your merits. Communicate with all living beings. Dedicate to Anuttarasamyaksambodhi. There are no ordinary people and ordinary people's laws. Nor can one do it without faith. There are also no eight people. There is no sotapanna to sotapanna. There is no Si Tuo Han to Si Tuo Han. There is no Anagami to Anagami. There is no Arhat to Arhat. There is also no Pratyekabuddha to Pratyekabuddha. There is no Buddha and no one who goes to the Buddha. Why. Dharma-nature has no destiny, neither birth nor death. No place to live. Therefore, Bodhisattvas and Mahasattvas should dedicate these three kinds of pure merits. with all sentient beings. *** Dedicate to Anuttarasamyaksambodhi. May I always encounter Buddhas with profound samadhi wherever I am born. See countless Buddhas and achieve many things. Pure wisdom. Hong vows not to abandon all sentient beings. Some people and ashrams, including teachings, say that they cannot save their enemies and creditors, so how can they return their merits to the Dharma Realm and bear the karma of others. Some people say that they must first save their enemies and creditors before they can have greater ability and strength to help others. Others say that when the Clay Bodhisattva crosses the river, he cannot save himself, so he still wants to help others. This is not okay. I have also experienced confusion, and now I explain it as follows: Dedicating to individuals and enemies and creditors can be called small dedications. Looking at yourself first is the motivation of Hinayana Arhat; dedicating to the Dharma Realm is called big dedication, and is the motivation of Bodhisattvas. You say which kind of dedication is right and which kind of dedication is wrong? There is no right or wrong, it is just a difference in the size of your motivation. If you practice Hinayana, you will eventually step into Mahayana, follow the path of Bodhisattva to save people, and finally dedicate yourself to all sentient beings in the Dharma Realm. The Ksitigarbha Sutra says: "If such good deeds can be dedicated to the Dharma Realm, this is a person's merit, and he will receive wonderful happiness in hundreds of thousands of lives. If he can dedicate such good deeds to his family members or his own interests, the result will be happiness in three lives." "If you can give this benefit and return it to the Dharma Realm, you will be a great king and Brahma king for ten kalpas." "If you can dedicate it to the Dharma Realm, it will be a welfare for people." "You can see the difference. If you have a small motivation, you will gain merit and merit. If you have a big motivation, you will gain merit and merit. In addition, if you chant sutras only for yourself and your enemies and creditors, few living beings will benefit. The merit is small; if you directly enlarge your mind, then enlarge it, and magnify it to all sentient beings in the Dharma Realm, so that all sentient beings can listen to your sermons and benefit from it, then the merit will naturally be great. This should be easy to understand. If you help one person, you will naturally get the merit of helping that person. If you directly help all sentient beings in the Dharma Realm, the amount is immeasurable, and the merit will naturally be immeasurable. Finally, practice is to get rid of the ego, get rid of self-grasping, and gradually become selfless, no one, no sentient beings, and no lifespan. You chant sutras every day for yourself, for your enemies and creditors, and for yourself to be reborn in the Western Paradise. Strengthen yourself and use Buddhism to benefit yourself instead of saving sentient beings, which is even more selfish. It goes against the ultimate goal of Buddhist practice. Only by directly reciting sutras and practicing for all sentient beings in the Dharma Realm, and by directly breaking away from self-grasping with the great vows and actions of the great self, can we achieve rapid success. If you think for yourself, you will always be Hinayana. At most, you can cultivate to Arhat. If you think for all living beings and for the Dharma Realm, then you will directly follow the path of Bodhisattva and become a Bodhisattva with the first intention.
The Ksitigarbha Sutra also clearly states that when you dedicate merit to the deceased or others: "Out of seven points, you will get one or six points of merit, and the living will benefit yourself." So how should we dedicate it? Based on my own experience and all the above-mentioned scriptures and various ways of dedication, I recommend the following for reference only: 1) When practicing any sutra, mantra or Buddha's name, you must enlarge your mind and recite it for all sentient beings in the ten directions and three times of the Dharma Realm. Before chanting the sutra, mantra, and Buddha's name, make a wish that the chanting of the sutra, mantra, and Buddha's name can resound throughout the Dharma Realm, so that all sentient beings in the Dharma Realm can hear the recited sutra, mantra, and Buddha's name and benefit from it. 2) Before chanting the sutra, mantra, and Buddha's name, recite ten times: Invite Guanyin Bodhisattva (or Tibetan Bodhisattva, etc.) Bless *** (names of relatives you want to save, patients whose diseases you want to cure, no matter how many), Bless *** (names of your parents, spouse, children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters, teachers, colleagues, leaders, subordinates, classmates and friends, no matter how many) (can), bless all the above-mentioned living beings and all the enemies and creditors of all ten directions and three times. All sentient beings come to listen to the sutras and listen to the Dharma, so that their good roots will grow, arouse Bodhicitta, encounter the true Dharma as soon as possible, take refuge in the Three Jewels as soon as possible, and escape from the three evil ways. Escape from the six paths of reincarnation and be reborn in the Western Paradise as soon as possible. May fellow practitioners achieve Bodhidharma and achieve Buddhahood. 3) Use the big dedication in the dedication text, and recite the vows of Samantabhadra or the past. Come empty. The explanation is as follows: First, this dedication combines large and small dedications, which avoids the problem that small dedications only care about their own interests, and at the same time avoids the problem that the other party only obtains one-seventh of the merit. If you directly dedicate your merits to someone, it is equivalent to giving him money when you have earned it. If you give him money directly, he will get it for nothing and he will ask you for money next time. This is equivalent to giving a man a fish (give him a fish directly, he will not Fishing), he can only obtain one-seventh of the merit. When you invite him to listen to the scriptures and listen to the Dharma, you are tantamount to telling him how to get rich, where to recruit and where to train, and how to plan his life. You are teaching him how to fish (telling him how to fish, and he will be able to fish on his own in the future). fish for a living). He directly listened to the sutras and listened to the Dharma, and gained all the merits of listening to the sutras and Dharma once. Secondly, the kind of practice and dedication I suggested is itself giving Dharma to all sentient beings in the Dharma Realm, reciting sutras for them, and giving Dharma. Merit is the greatest. The "Diamond Sutra" says, "If there are good men or good women who give alms with their lives as much as the sand of the Ganges River. If there are people who even receive and uphold four verses of this sutra and preach it to others, their blessings will be great." , and said, "Subhuti! What do you mean? If a person fills the seven treasures of the three thousand worlds and gives them away, how much merit will he receive? Subhuti said: "Many, World Honored One!" Why? It is merit, but it is not the nature of merit. This is why the Tathagata says there are many merits. ""If someone again accepts and upholds this sutra, even four lines of verses, and recites it to others, his blessings will be greater than that of others." Attachment: Ksitigarbha Sutra or other common practice rituals (for reference only) (for treating diseases) or salvation, and can also be used to influence family members or colleagues who do not practice Buddhism to learn Buddhism): In the brackets, you can choose a Bodhisattva by yourself. Today is a good opportunity for you to escape from the six realms. Go and practice with your teacher Guanyin Bodhisattva. Take refuge in the Buddha, the Dharma, and take refuge. Sangha, all living beings have Buddha nature and can cultivate to the Western Paradise to become a Buddha.
In the past, our reincarnations in the six realms were mainly the result of delusional attachment to retribution. Today, our teacher Guanshiyin Bodhisattva teaches us to relieve our grudges and turn our past bad karma into Dharma fate by taking refuge in the Three Jewels, equality, respect, and repentance, because Dharma fate It is the most extraordinary and most complete thing in the world. I sincerely repent to you and hope that you will quickly follow Guanshiyin Bodhisattva and take refuge in the Buddha and the Dharma. Taking refuge in the Sangha, all living beings have Buddha nature and can cultivate to the Western Paradise to become a Buddha. 5. Give the Three Refuges. Please ask your mentor Guanyin Bodhisattva to take refuge in the Three Dharma Realms for all the sentient beings in the ten Dharma Realms who came to listen to the sutras and listen to the Dharma today but do not want to take refuge (3 times). Please all living beings recite with me: take refuge in the Buddha, take refuge in the Dharma, take refuge monk. Take refuge in the two-legged Buddha, take refuge in the Dharma, and take refuge in the Supreme Being among the Sangha. If you take refuge in the Buddha, you will not fall into the hells. If you take refuge in the Dharma, you will not fall into the hungry ghosts. If you take refuge in the Sangha, you will not fall into the side life. Take refuge in the Buddha, take refuge in the Dharma, and take refuge in the Sangha (3 times) 6. Make a vow to pray for all sentient beings in the six paths throughout the space and the ten Dharma Realms to repent with me of past sins and purify all karma obstacles since beginningless time: Since others All the bad karma you have done is due to beginningless greed, anger, and ignorance, and arises from your body, speech, and mind. There will be nothing left after all the repentance. Sins arise from the heart and are confessed with the heart. If the heart is extinguished, the sins will also perish. When the heart is extinguished, both sins and sins will be in vain. This is called true repentance. (3 times) Please travel across the sky and all the sentient beings in the six realms of the ten Dharma Realms to make the Four Great Vows with me: I vow to save all sentient beings, vow to put an end to endless troubles, vow to learn countless Dharma doors, and vow to achieve the supreme path of Buddhism. (3 times) We have now taken refuge in the Three Jewels. We are disciples of Buddhism. We should remember: Do no evil and perform good deeds. Purify your mind. This is Buddhism (3 times). 7. Start formally chanting sutras, reciting mantras or reciting sutras and making vows. Text (increasing the effectiveness of chanting sutras and expanding the mind): Namo Buddhaya, Namo Bodhidharmaya, Namo Sangaya, Namo the Buddha Sakyamuni Tathagata, Namo Bodhisattvas who dwell on the earth, Namo all dragons and heavenly good gods. , I would like to use my power to express my condolences and help you. May the sutras, mantras and chants recited by my disciples resound throughout the sky and the entire Dharma Realm. I hope that all sentient beings in the six realms of the ten dharma realms can hear the sutras, mantras and Buddha's names recited by my disciples and come to meditate with me. May everyone practice Bodhidharma and achieve Buddhahood. May this be the cause for all sentient beings in the six realms of the ten Dharma Realms to escape from the three evil realms, escape the six realms of reincarnation, and be saved. May this be used to form a special good relationship with all the sentient beings in the six realms of the ten Dharma Realms. When all sentient beings hear my Dharma, they will arouse the mind of Anuttarasamyaksambodhi. They all come to be Bodhisattvas and Buddhas. They all come to rescue sufferings. They all come to save all sentient beings so that all sentient beings can hear the true Dharma. Those who hear the Dharma will have their rebellious sins eliminated. Anuttara Samyak Samyasu Bodhicitta has nothing to gain. I urge all sentient beings to share this aspiration and lead to the supreme enlightenment. (3 times) Please travel across the sky and all the sentient beings in the six realms of the ten Dharma realms to practice with me (begin to recite the Ksitigarbha Sutra and other sutras or recite mantras or recite the name of the Buddha). Please travel across the sky and all the sentient beings in the six realms in the ten Dharma realms to follow me. Let’s make a wish to be reborn in the Western Pure Land: I wish to be born in the Western Pure Land with the nine-grade lotus as my parents. When the flowers bloom, I see the Buddha enlightening to the existence of no life, and I have the Bodhisattva of Immortality as my companion. May I remove all obstacles and see the Buddha Amitabha before my death, and then I can be reborn in the land of peace and happiness. (3 times) Please go all over the sky and all the ten Dharma realms and all the sentient beings in the six paths to recite the Buddha's name with me to seek rebirth in the Western Paradise: Namo Amitabha (at least 10 times, those who specialize in the Buddha's name can recite it for more than an hour, it can be used as a daily lesson) Namo Master Sakyamuni Buddha, Namo Sangha Sutra. In this way, all sentient beings in the six realms of the ten Dharma Realms are included in the space. I will all abide in the wisdom of Buddha. May I be worthy enough to encounter the Dharma of Sanghaja in all my lifetimes. May all the bad karma and obstacles I deserve in this life be immature except those that help me become a Buddha. In fact, if you want to mature, you must mature in the lotus of the Eight Merit Pools under the protection of Amitabha and Guanyin Bodhisattva after being reborn in the Western Paradise. I hope that after I am reborn in the Western Paradise, I can use the Sangha Dharma to transcend all karmic sentient beings in a single thought and become a Bodhisattva on the tenth level or above. (3 times) 8. Dedication (the full text of Samantabhadra’s Vows, the Great Confession of the Eighty-Eight Buddhas, or the following dedication) May I remove all obstacles and meet the Buddha Amitabha when I die. , that is, you will be reborn in the land of peace and happiness.
