Disease control of Penaeus penicillatus
With the expansion of breeding scale, there are more and more diseases of Penaeus vannamei, which has caused great losses to farmers. Vibrio disease (commonly known as red leg disease) is one of the main diseases, and its pathogen is Vibrio. Liu Tiancai and others isolated bacteria from diseased shrimp, studied the pathogenicity, reproduction and biological characteristics of the isolated bacteria, and discussed the taxonomic status of the pathogenic bacteria in order to have a general understanding of the "red leg disease" of Penaeus vannamei. Wu Dinghu and others made a preliminary investigation on vibriosis and its epidemiology of Penaeus vannamei, and Huang Weizhen and others conducted a drug control experiment on "red leg disease" of Penaeus vannamei. The pathological changes of gill and hepatopancreas of Penaeus vannamei suffering from yellow gill disease were studied. In recent years, a serious epidemic shrimp disease has occurred in Penaeus vannamei. Wu et al. observed and purified the liver, pancreas, stomach, intestine and gill of diseased shrimp with ultra-thin section electron microscope, and found a large number of baculovirus and bacterial infections. Chen Jinan et al. observed and isolated a new spherical virus of Penaeus penicillatus from specimens collected from diseased shrimp ponds. During the culture of Penaeus penicillatus, the phenomenon that shrimp larvae glow at night often occurs, which is caused by Pseudomonas fluorescens of Pseudomonas family and Vibrio harveyi of Vibrio family. Xu Guocheng and others summarized the prevention and treatment of fluorescent disease of Penaeus vannamei larvae.
