Thai artichoke
It is widely used in the Thai culinary art, and cooking without a few sprinkles of chopped artichoke is like eating Szechuan cuisine without the addition of spicy.
Legend has it that Thai artichokes are the spiciest chili peppers in the world, but this has always been a fallacy. Thailand's Chao Tian Pepper's spiciness is 5 to 10 levels (i.e., 5,000 to 150,000 SHU), compared to India's devil pepper, Mexico's "Shawina", Yunnan shabu-shabu chili pepper is still a level worse.
