Ayuko is a dioecious plant. Female cryptogamous flowers and fruits began to form from small buds in leaf axils at the end of March, and bloomed around mid-June, and were pollinated by female wasps. After 4-5 months of development, the fruit began to ripen and crack around mid-June.

1 year has two generations of male cryptogamous finches. The development of male cryptocarpus is completely coordinated with that of female cryptocarpus. They may germinate from axillary buds in mid-August and bloom in mid-1October, so that female bees can lay eggs. Male Cryptocarpus overwinters, fully matures in mid-June, opens from the top and releases female wasps. The female bee shuttles back and forth between Ayuko plants at different development stages, thus completing the life history of the bee and the sexual generation of Ayuko.
