Golden nan is a precious wood unique to China. It is a big tree, formerly known as Phoebe Town South. The varieties are nanmu, Lichuan nanmu, Zhejiang nanmu, Yunnan nanmu, golden vein nanmu and thick-leaf nanmu. Phoebe niger grows in subtropical wet valleys, valleys, and rivers, and is mainly distributed in Sichuan, Guizhou, and the junction of Sichuan and Yunnan.
