1, Forbidden City

2. Summer Palace

In the more than 230 years since the Ming Dynasty moved its capital to Beijing, thirteen imperial tombs, seven concubines' tombs and one eunuch's tomb have been built here, and thirteen emperors, twenty-three queens, two princes, more than thirty concubines and two eunuchs have been buried.

Thirteen imperial tombs were built along the mountain, respectively at the foothills of the east, west and north, forming a complete system and a large-scale mausoleum complex. Surrounded by mountains, there is a winding river in front of the mausoleum with beautiful scenery. With a total area of 120 square kilometers, the mausoleum area is the largest existing imperial mausoleum complex in China and even the world.
