The crucian carp is an omnivorous fish species that eats both meat and vegetables. Carp can feed on aquatic plants as well as earthworms, red worms, shrimps and various types of aquatic insects.
The adult grass carp, on the other hand, feeds only on aquatic plants, as well as artificially placed plant bait.
Wild crucian carp are usually about half a catty to a catty, while wild grass carp are usually about thirty to fifty catty.
