Andy Lau was born in Taiheng Village, Tai Po, New Territories. There are three sisters, one brother and one sister, ranking fourth in the family. His father, Liuli, was a fireman at Kai Tak Airport when he was young. When he was young, his family later moved to the foot of Diamond Mountain in Kowloon.
