Haifeng rice originated from Shanghai Haifeng Farm in Dafeng City, Jiangsu Province. It is an educated youth who came back from Xinjiang in the 1960s, especially from the First Agricultural Division and the Second Agricultural Division. In Xinjiang, they are middle-season rice farmers. The Shanghai educated youth who graduated from Tarim Agricultural University is also an expert in this field. They became leaders at all levels of Haifeng and led the new journey of Haifeng rice. The planting structure of Haifeng was changed, the irrigation system was reformed, and excellent local varieties in Jiangsu were selected and gradually bred. We have our own breeding base, our own rice processing enterprise, all mechanized sowing, irrigation and harvesting. It can be said that Haifeng rice embodies the painstaking efforts of several generations of Shanghai farmers, especially educated youth.

Later, a different planting base was developed. Haifeng provided seeds, and Haifeng harvested grain and processed it into rice. This is Haifeng rice. It's just a brand. Later Haifeng rice industry merged into Guangming rice industry. The rice in Haifeng rice bag is authentic only if it comes from Haifeng farm.
