1963 The Hutuo River flooded, and there was a north-south horizontal canal in the cultivated land of Cao Zhuang Village. Because there is a floodgate on the north embankment of Hutuo River, sediment is deposited on the cultivated land for more than one meter, resulting in sandy soil above the cultivated land and fertile soil below. This kind of soil is very suitable for the growth of sweet potatoes. Many years later, the farmers in this village cultivated high-quality white yam commonly known as "Xiaobaizui".

Since the implementation of the production responsibility system, farmers have the right to plant freely, and farmers have begun to transfer Baishan medicinal materials from garden planting to field planting. The planting area is expanding year by year, and the planting area of this village alone is as high as more than 500 mu. The cultivation of white yam has gradually become an industry, and then radiated to the surrounding villages. The planting area has reached more than 2000 mu, and the output can reach 5 million kilograms.

In recent years, Cao Zhuang White Yam has gained a great reputation, and local screen vendors have received rave reviews as gifts of Anping specialty.
