Tathagata and Jade Emperor contributed Buddhist scriptures. In fact, they have different intentions. The purpose of Tathagata is clear-enrollment.

Taoism was founded by Zhang Daoling in the late Eastern Han Dynasty. In ancient China mythology, Zhang Daoling's role was among the four heavenly teachers, Zhang, Xu, Sa and Ge. Laozi, revered as the founder of Taoism, is an old gentleman in the myth system. Laozi was born in the Spring and Autumn Period. At present, experts have verified that Laozi was born in 57 BC1year. At this point, Buddhism and Taoism are similar! But everyone should know that Taoism founded by Lao Tzu is not Taoism. So in fact, Buddhism was founded earlier than Taoism. It was the introduction of Buddhism that stimulated the establishment of Taoism, a local religion in China.

But don't forget where this is! China! How can you tolerate the misconduct of a wild child? No way! We are determined not to do it! So we will find that in the myth system, even the old gentleman who is regarded as the founder of Taoism is not a big boss, and there are many people who are more powerful than him, such as his master Hong Jun. Therefore, in the myth system, Taoism is emphasized and Buddhism is suppressed. Moreover, it is said that Buddhism was founded by Laozi, and the ancestor of Taoism was too old, that is, "Laozi turned Hu into Buddha."

The Hu here is the Hu people. It is said that after I left Hangu Pass, I turned a semi-final meeting into a Buddha. This kind of "turning Hu into Buddha" is found in The Journey to the West. In the sixth episode of Journey to the West, Wukong and Erlang God fought fiercely, and Guanyin Bodhisattva wanted to help with a clean bottle. The old gentleman said that the pure bottle of Guanyin was porcelain, and he wanted to help with his diamonds, so he had this passage: "What weapons do you have?" The old man said, "Yes, yes, yes." Pulling up his sleeve, he took a circle from his left arm and said, "This weapon is made of matte steel, and I have returned it to Dan, so that it can be cultivated into an aura, changeable, fire-proof and can cover everything; Diamond cutter, also called diamond sleeve. Thanks to him, Hu was turned into a Buddha when he delivered the letter. When I throw it away, hit him. " '

Who is the "Hu" transformed by this old gentleman? That's not clear! But certainly not Tathagata. Hey! Someone here will ask, "no! Isn't the Tathagata a Buddha? It should be him! " Ha ha! Wrong. Although the Tathagata is called Buddha, it is not the ancestor of all Buddhas. Far above him, there are so many "ancient buddhas" nearby. First of all, the four great bodhisattvas are ancient buddhas who have achieved their goals. Guanyin bodhisattva, the "benevolent Taoist" in this respect; Bodhisattva Samantabhadra, the "real Pu Xian" Manjushri in this respect, and the "Manjushri" in this respect; And the earth treasure bodhisattva. They are all ancient buddhas, even worse than avalokitesvara, and they are the "teachers of seven buddha".

Another powerful ancient Buddha is the "ancient Buddha burning lanterns", that is, the "Taoist burning lanterns" in this deity. This "burning ancient Buddha" is also mentioned in the original work of Journey to the West. The fifth time, the Great Sage happened to bump into Pocket Palace, and there was such a passage: "When I looked at it, I suddenly realized:" You were thirty-three days old in Pocket Palace, so why did you come here? Anyway, I have always wanted to visit the old man, but I have never been able to do so. Now I take this opportunity to see him. "Is that the whole dress in, no one saw. It turned out that the old man and the ancient Buddha burning lamps preached on Zhu Lingdan's platform, which was a three-story pavilion, and all the fairies and officials stood around and listened. '

Burning lanterns, Tathagata and Maitreya are relay relationships. Burning lanterns is the Buddha of the past, Tathagata is the Buddha of the present, and Maitreya is the Buddha of the future. Everyone should also know that "Tathagata" is not a special title. On the contrary, the word "Tathagata" is a very common Buddhist appellation and one of the top ten Buddhist appellations. The dharma name of Tathagata should be Sakyamuni Buddha or Amitabha Buddha in the south. In other words, the Tathagata is the "head of the family", with a bunch of "elders" behind him, and a new "successor" has been established. This is the internal worry of the Tathagata. His foundation is not very solid, and his successor has been appointed.

? Not only that, but he also has foreign invasion, because the Buddha itself is not as powerful as the Tao. It is good for Taoism for the Tathagata to condescend and be humiliated. During the seventy-seven trips to the West, four apprentices passed by the lion camel country to subdue the three demons. Wukong and Tathagata asked for help and said, "This is the master of the old demon and the second demon. But those three monsters said they would get up, and they also had some marriage with me. " Monkey asked, "Is pro the father party? Mother party? " The Tathagata said, "From then on, people were born in children, the earth was born in ugliness, and life was born in yin. When heaven and earth met again, everything was born. Everything has birds and animals. Animals are as long as Kirin and birds are as long as phoenix. The phoenix has the spirit of intercourse again, giving birth to peacocks and Dapeng. Peacocks are the worst when they are born. They can eat people, travel 45 miles and suck them dry in one bite. I was at the top of the snowy mountain, refined into a golden body, and he has sucked me down. I want to walk out of his private door, afraid to defile myself. I cut open his back and set foot on Lingshan. If you want to hurt his life, you must be persuaded by the Buddhas that hurting the peacock is like hurting my mother. So he was left behind at the Lingshan meeting and became a Buddha mother, peacock, king Daming and bodhisattva. Dapeng was born with his mother, so he has some relatives. " Monkey said with a smile, "Tathagata, if compared with this, is still a demon nephew." The Tathagata said, "I have to get the monster." Monkey kowtows and lifts the Buddha's head. "Please let the jade fall!" '

Look, everybody. The Tathagata didn't kill the peacock, but named it "Buddha mother peacock, Daming King Bodhisattva". Generally speaking, it is merciful not to kill peacocks. If the Tathagata gives it a title, it means that the Tathagata is showing kindness to heaven. In this way, he showed his attitude towards heaven. Hey! I am your son, and Taoism is the mother religion of Buddhism. Someone said it was wrong! Isn't Buddhism just not killing! Don't! Is this really out of the heart of the Tathagata? Not necessarily. As he himself said, he wanted to hurt the peacock's life, but this was after the buddhas persuaded him. Tathagata is an example of Buddhism. If he really has a heart, then all his disciples will want to imitate him. How can the spiritual Zen master X not know this truth? Then how many monsters swallowed Wukong and how many mothers Wukong killed! This is definitely unbearable for Tang Priest. Therefore, the Tathagata did not release the peacock out of his own heart.

When Dapeng's golden-winged bird is subdued, this TV series is about Da Pengfei's arrival at Leiyin Temple. But in the original work, the Tathagata personally got off the lotus platform and went out of the mountain gate to collect the Dapeng golden winged bird. Think about it. Do you still use Tathagata to do it yourself? What a face this Tathagata gave heaven.

So at this stage of Journey to the West, Buddhism is not as good as Taoism, but when Wu Cheng'en wrote Journey to the West, he emphasized Buddhism and suppressed Taoism. On the surface, Buddhism and Taoism respect each other, but in fact, they fight against each other. At this time, Tathagata urgently needs to expand his team and let himself gain a foothold between internal and external troubles. Therefore, the purpose of the Tathagata to learn from chess is to recruit students. Let's think again, "learning from the scriptures" and "extracting essence" are the same. In the Journey to the West, except for those goblins with backgrounds who returned to their original places, everything else was accepted by Buddhism.
