First, Tibetan tea, butter tea
The sweet tea in Canggu Temple is the best in Lhasa. There are 5 pots of different specifications, 7 pots of 1 liter, and 12 pots (which are more delicious than Biji Sweet Teahouse and Guangming Sweet Teahouse). Although Tibetan noodles are not very strong, the soup is still delicious, and there are Tibetan buns (not after 4 pm).
In fact, the ingredients of sweet tea are very simple, just like other places, that is, Nepalese black tea and milk powder are cooked in a large pot. The secret is that the whole piece of wood is used to make a fire, so it has an unspeakable fragrance.
Between Bajiao Street and Jiangsu Road, Canggu Temple, which was originally the kitchen of a nun temple, opened to the outside world and became a warm teahouse. It is very famous among local Tibetans, and it has gradually been praised by foreign tourists in the past year or two. It often takes friends to drink sweet tea and talk about mountains in the street to show that its blog is widely concerned.
Special note: Be calm, whether you order food, get a license or find a seat, be calm, like a regular customer, because there are few tourists here, and nearly 100 people will watch. Nuns especially like flirting with newcomers. Once your condition shows flaws, you will be pulled out of your skirt or touched on your ass. Oh, what a pity ~ ~ ~
Second, Tibetan bean jelly
Tashi bean jelly: corn flour, seasoning, 3 yuan 1 bowl, and boiled potatoes, 3 yuan 1 bowl, soft and delicious. And baked sausage 1 yuan 1 root dipped in Chili powder is delicious ~ ~
Go south along Tibet Hospital Road until you come to the end of a fork in the road. Don't hesitate, resolutely turn left and walk about 150 meters in the direction of Bajiao Street. Watch the left hand side. There is a small frontispiece glass that reads "Zhaxi bean jelly" and the fine print "Ganzi yellow bean jelly".
As soon as you enter the door, order "3 bowls of soybean powder, 1 boiled potatoes, 3 sausages and peppers". Then find a place to sit. The place is small and full for a long time. There are very small long tables and low benches. Everybody sit in a row. Don't just stand there and walk past when there is a gap. Tibetans will kindly squeeze out a vacancy for you and hand you the seasoning. A white plastic bottle with white chips in it is garlic juice. The white pot with handle is vinegar. The green cauldron is cold water. This little metal box is pepper. I told you, the seasoning is delicious, so put more seasoning.
Third, authentic Tibetan and Nepalese restaurants.
It is often overlooked in travel guides, but in Lhasa, the locals like this family best.
It's easy to find, No.30 Yutu Road, next to Lhasa Film City, on the 2nd floor of Yewei, Mount Everest. In this way, you may not find it. Go straight ahead from Jokhang Temple Square, facing away from the main entrance of Jokhang Temple, and come to the first intersection. There is a big fountain in the southeast corner of the intersection. The large glass window on the second floor of the building directly behind the fountain says "Namasude Restaurant". Take the electronic scrolling screen of the cinema into the door, turn right and go upstairs. The cinema is on the left and the restaurant is on the right.
Recommend special meals
1.Masala with Nan (must be accompanied by Nan), that is, a bowl of curry-like sauce with a scone. This is the specialty of this shop. You must eat it. You must eat it.
2. Pizza, 8 inches, pancakes, thick cheese, and super cheap, generally 28 yuan. My favorite is chicken and mushroom pizza.
3. Yogurt cake, cheesecake, etc. . 8 yuan a piece, delicious.
4. Curry chicken rice, because it is a Nepalese boss and a Nepalese chef, curry is still very good.
5.Namaste special salad, including eggs, tuna, vegetables and so on. I like it very much. Sprinkle more pepper on the table. It is delicious.
6. Nepalese sweet tea is different from Tibetan sweet tea in that it has special spices. Suggestions.
7. Potato beef buns are actually some beef stuffing wrapped in mashed potatoes and then fried. It belongs to Tibetan food.
The environment is very good, because I am the boss of Nepal, so all the decorations are shipped from Nepal, such as chandeliers, wall hangings, wood carvings and so on. But because it is a restaurant, it is certainly not as delicate as a bar or teahouse.
This house is very popular with local people, so please don't rush to eat, go early and go late, or there will be no seats.
The important thing is that it's cheap! As far as I know, there has been no price increase in 10 years!
