The school is located in Qijiaxiang 12, Chengdu, and was founded in the late 1940s. Xinhua Road Primary School, formerly known as Lingming Primary School, was built by French missionary Haumali in the 1940s, when it was a missionary school. 1950 Chengdu was liberated and the missionary schools were nationalized. Because it is located in the east section of Yusha Road, it was renamed Dongyusha Street Primary School. 1978, the school was renamed Xinhua Road Primary School, which has been in use ever since. Historical materials: There was a Xie Yuhe river beside Yusha Road, and its river sand can solve jade, so it was called Yusha. There are long-established streets around the school, such as Founder Street, Nursery Home, Shogunate and Huifu.
