Li Tiefu's life in his later years in Hongkong was not good. When others came to buy his paintings, he refused to sell them. But he has a soft spot for dog meat, and many people exchange it for his hard-to-find ink paintings and calligraphy works.
Li Tiefu is an extremely kind old man. He always kept the habit of drinking tea in his later years, and he had to write his own recipes for every meal. Some people always find opportunities to "steal" recipes after eating a meal, which has become their main way of collecting pen and ink.
Li Tiefu has many eccentricities. He always walks slowly during the day, like a thoughtful philosopher, and walks at night, which is as agile as a fly. He has his reason: there are too many people during the day, and they walk fast, either meeting people or being met.
Li Tiefu's life is very simple. There are only two sets of clothes, but the painting tools are very beautiful. He seems to be fascinated by painting and forgot all about getting married, but he is not a celibate. He said, "I don't have enough time to draw. It's too much trouble to get married and start a family! Unless there is a great revolution in the family system, everyone lives together, everyone has his own job, and there is no bondage and burden, then I can get married! "
After returning to China, Li Tiefu also painted many portraits, some of which were completed in the painter's studio in Ben. Because of poverty, canvases and paints are provided by friends. During his study in the United States, Feng received help and guidance from Li Tiefu, new york, and forged an early friendship. Li Tiefu's creative ability did not decline in his later years. Although he can't afford to buy oil paints and has no studio, he paints many watercolors and ink paintings and writes a lot of calligraphy. He often improvises poetry dialogues for his friends.
1950 At the end of August, South China Federation of Literary and Art Circles went to Hong Kong to take Li Tiefu back to Guangzhou. He set foot on a Hong Kong and Macao ship and set out for Guangzhou. The noise of the ferry prevented him from falling asleep. He said angrily, "It's 1950 now, and we still have to take this ancient ferry. Warlords and bureaucrats, damn it, have delayed the progress of China for decades. "
1946, Li Tiefu held an art exhibition in Guangzhou, and wrote a banner outside the exhibition hall, "Come and see my compatriots, if you miss it, you will never see such a good oil painting".
Li Tiefu's first impression is "eccentric": First, he refused to draw celebrities and politicians, preferring to starve to death; Second, lifelong unmarried; Third, insist on carrying a painting bag outside every day to sketch and draw, and enjoy it all year round.
From 1945 to 1949, many famous artists gathered in Hong Kong. Li Tiefu not only keeps close contact with the painters of the older generation such as Feng, Yu Ben and so on, but also keeps regular contact with the progressive art group "People's Painting Society" organized by young painters such as Huang Xinbo, Liao, Wen Shaoman and Lu. 19491kloc-0/on October 26th, Li Tiefu led young painters to raise the first five-star red flag in Hong Kong on the top floor of Six Kingdoms Hotel in Wan Chai.
