When I was in elementary school, the noodles at the school gate were super cheap. A bowl of soybean flour cost 30 cents, pork noodles cost 50 cents, and a bowl of sesame paste costed 30 cents and half a fried dough stick costed 20 cents!
Later, when I was in junior high school, I rode my bicycle to eat noodles at the entrance of the village primary school next to our town. It cost 50 cents for a big bowl. It had minced meat, pig blood, dried tofu, and vegetable and soybean soup. It was the most cost-effective meal I had ever had. The biggest fan! That must have been 2006!
